Rallies and Riding Skills

LPPC conducts Rallies on the 4th Sunday of each month with experienced and qualified riding instructors. Rallies provide lessons in areas of horse handling, horse behaviour and anatomy, dressage, jumping and games.

Rallies consist of three 1 hour sessions where riders are arranged in small groups of similar capability from Grades 5 – 3.

Continuous monitoring progress of riders informs the regarding activities which are held twice per year as part of Rally. Each Rally finishes with a wholesome community lunch cooked by parents/guardians.

There are also special programs to support Junior riders to compete their D, D* and C Certificates and annual gymkhana generally held in December when Junior riders test their skills against others in their Grade/Club for a host of ribbons, prizes and trophies.

LPPC provides a special Riders Without Horses Program for beginning riders interested in gaining basic skills and knowledge. The program is especially geared to taking young riders with limited knowledge and transforming their love for horses to sound management and riding skills.

Many of our graduates from this program join the Club as Junior riders with their own horse. It is a great way to test and prepare for the responsibility of horse ownership.
